Theorist Fest 2022
All Together Now
Call for Artists
ABOUT
Theorist Fest seeks experimental and courageous artist citizens seeking a connection more deeply to ourselves, people, and our planet. Our vision for 2022 is "All Together Now" inspired by collaborators On and Off the Stage.
Theorist Fest is interested in presenting all dance forms and genres, in addition, to live music, physical theater, movement films, site-specific performances multi-media and visual art installations. We accept proposals for new works.
Submissions may also expand beyond the stage and include audience engagement, or educational components.
VISION
We support collaborations between emerging, established, and experimental artists. Beyond presenting traditional works, selected artists will also be invited into an artist sanctuary with other festival artists. What would you dream up if you had two weeks of theater and studio space and local/national/international multi-disciplinary artists to collaborate with?
Our year-round residency specifically provides a bi-weekly artist sanctuary for artists transitioning between homes and monthly Aire Libre Arte block parties. Lead by activist Denver Gonzalez, our art is our protest and we believe in mutual aid because all we have is each other. Artists in need of support may email info@fisterra.xyz.
Our 2022 Season is in collaboration with Fisterra, The Mexican American Cultural Center and the Boyd Vance Theater at the Carver Museum. Our mission is to promote personal and social well-being on a local, national and global scale through the arts, aided by science and technology. We look forward to experiencing what Fisterra means to you!
