HONORARIUM:

Selected performers will receive a performance contract and small honorarium upon acceptance. A list of travel and accommodation suggestions will be provided.

​

THE STAGE:

As a part of the festival you will be provided with a performance at the historic Zilker Hillside Theater during its 60th anniversary Season.

​

The stage is 40′ wide by 36′ deep. The wooden dance floor is covered with dark grey Harlequin Cascade marley. There are two unisex air conditioned dressing rooms and bathrooms backstage. Theorist Fest crew members coordinate all technical needs and run sound during the performance.

LIGHTING & PUBLICITY:

The Theorists provide professional lighting and publicity. Due to the nature of an outdoor performance, lighting will focus on highlighting the movement quality and natural atmosphere rather than intricate cues. The trees of the iconic Barton Springs and Zilker Park provide a unique backdrop characteristic to Austin.

PROPS:

Performers are responsible for all props and costumes. Nothing may come in contact with the trees. No confetti or glitter, and please be environmentally conscious.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY:

Professional photography and videography are available for performers to purchase at an affordable, discounted rate.

MASTER CLASSES:

Selected choreographers will receive invitations to teach master classes as a part of the festival (these classes will be compensated) as well as attend TBX workshops pro-rated with international artists Oct 23-27, 2018.
