About

What you can expect:

I will guide us through tools for social dancing. This ancient art of hugging embodies the conversational nature of reality. It teaches us how we as evolutionary beings communicate through presence, pressure, and play - to affirm kindness and security and neutralize hostility.

We will only hug with verbal consent. Yes is yes, no is no, and maybe is not now.

Hugging can be an open or close embrace. You can hug with just your finger tips, your full torso, or anything in-between with your and your partner’s mutual consent.

What you cannot expect:

We will not spoon-feed static choreography. We will learn by doing. Our bodies already know how to dance. We just need to let them remember.

What you will receive:

As an animal on two feet, our arms have more creativity, speed, nuance, dexterity, and lighten our torso to move the pelvis and free our dancing feet!

Together, we embrace the unknown and each other to dance. Embrace, stemming from the latin root “Em” meaning “here you are,” and “brace” from “braccia” meaning “arms.” Here we are, arms wide open. When life is complex, find complexus (latin noun for embrace). Bring it on!
