Allysen Hooks  is from Houston where she attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts and then graduated from The Juilliard School in 2010. She was a member of Dance Heginbotham under direction of John Heginbotham until 2012. Allysen has been a member Gallim Dance under direction of Andrea Miller since 2012. She also creates her own work.

REPERTOIRE TOOLBOX:

A Master Class focusing on individual physicalization of emotion, memory, and imagination. With space for conversation surrounding what  can block us creatively, we will investigate how to find patience and kindness towards the expressive self. With value placed on non-judgement  we will look for personal truth reflected in movement - as well as just having fun together creating in the space. The structure will consist of a morning class connecting imagination with the physical body followed by deeper investigation into improvisation and composition, with space for culminating your personal inventions.
